lrwnewlady 5 Posted March 13, 2018 So I’m here at the post op appointment. A little anxious. I just read all of the risk in surgery and kind of freaking out a bit... but still going through it. My surgery got moved 3/19 instead of 3/26. My liquid diet will only be one week instead of two.... I’m just thinking... will I be okay? Will this journey be successful? Did anybody go through this? 1 KathyHayles reacted to this
allwet 868 Posted March 13, 2018 (edited) Grats you got real lucky. look at it instead as 1 less week you will stress over your surgery and 1 week sooner you will be on your way to a new life. dont worry about the lost week on the liquid diet that varies hugely from doctor to doctor. good luck and come back and update everyone on your progress And no risk on those papers is as high as the risk of staying obese Edited March 13, 2018 by allwet
destinystarr 1 Posted March 13, 2018 I have nothing to add, but wanted to say that I'm in Houston too and I wish you all the best!! If it is any consolation, I have a friend that was sleeved and her surgeon didn't require her to do a pre-op liquid diet at all. Her procedure went just fine. Good luck! Good luck [emoji16] 1 lrwnewlady reacted to this
KathyHayles 13 Posted March 13, 2018 My surgeon was in Houston too. I had the bypass. Trust me, I felt all the emotions you are feeling. I even went so far as to contact my surgeon's nurse and cancel the surgery, then called back. She told me this was very normal, the nervousness of it and most of all I was worried about failing since I failed at every diet I ever did, plus I had a lapband and had it removed. But you will get through it and will do fine. Good luck.
