Recommended Posts

Hi guys;

Well its been 4 1/2 months since surgery and from starting surgery of 225 and now I am almost at the below 200 mark:). Its been a wonderful ride and believe you me, I know without a shadow of a doubt, this is just a tool!!!

I just went to get my 4th fill and I wanted to know how many fills are we required to have?

No requirements. Just whatever works for you. Everyone and every body is different in terms of what is needed or desired in terms of restriction.

Good luck!

GREAT! I've had 4 fills in my 4cc band and I'm pretty dang restricted...... my doc says no one he see's has more than 5 cc's in their small band.... (so I have about 1 cc left before I'm at capacity) However I don't really see me needing more anytime soon.GOOD LUCK!

Thanks guys for the responses. I've had 4 fills from august to this last one in october. So I did ask my doctor and he confirmed it works differently for everybody.

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

      I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
