melsabells 64 Posted March 13, 2018 I have pretty much zero energy but I managed to get 50 mins of exercise today. Tomorrow I help with watching my nieces and nephew so i'll ride my bike afterward. Does it really help the day before to get that exercise in? I am curious as to person experience with that. I will do it no matter but i'm curious. lol
logicwand 269 Posted March 13, 2018 I trained myself to believe that any exercise I do counts - which, technically it does. However, I don't think it will make a difference regarding your surgery. It's more important that you walk/exercise right after surgery.
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted March 13, 2018 I walked 5-7 miles every day for months before surgery. I had a super easy surgery and a super easy recovery. Is correlation causation in this case? I don't know. But regular exercise improves lung function and heart efficiency....which really should help with the healing process.
