melsabells 64 Posted March 13, 2018 Something about these posts just really makes me feel good about my choice. We're all wondering if we'll be able to eat real food. Well...thats real food...real GOOD food. Thanks for sharing! 1 Seahawks Fan reacted to this

~Primrose~ 24 Posted March 15, 2018 That looks great! Do you eat everything on the plate? I am 6 weeks out and I can only handle 2 or 3 bites of food and even with that I usually end up bringing it back up. The only things I've found that stay down is 1 scrambled egg or a few apple slices that I take about a half hour and really tiny bites to get down. I also suck on jelly Beans throughout the day. That's pretty much it. I know I'm not getting the nutrition that I need. I have a doctors appt. next week so I will talk to him about it. Did you have trouble keeping food down in the beginning? 1 Seahawks Fan reacted to this

I can eat a half a cup of food just fine. I can drink almost a 16oz bottle of Water in a few gulps. I’ve had a couple of times where I almost puked from eating to fast but been eating & drinking with no problems. My surgeon said be careful about gulping and guzzling Water as it can stretch the stomach. He said hot dog eating contest contestants use guzzling/gulping water to purposely stretch their stomachs so they can fit more in. He also said that people unconsciously try to make their stomachs like before surgery because they think that's the normal/healthy stomach. We need to be aware what we might be doing that can sabotage our weight loss. Edited March 18, 2018 by nevermore71
