Conversion Surgery From Lapband to Sleeve

Hi there,

I am about to have conversion surgery from LapBand to Gastric Sleeve. Anyone out there has an experience with this type of surgery?

I'm looking for advice if its a good idea, I'm very apprehensive for some reason. Maybe due to the fact that it is permanent unlike my band that isn't permanent. Also I am really concerned about scar tissue. Cutting into it, removing it, and creating more of it. Anyone out there that cant talk me off the ledge of a full blown panic attack, lol. My surgery is 4/5/18. I started having problems with my band at the 7 year mark. I had gained about 40 lbs back by opening & closing the band due to severe gastric issues. Ended up opening my band up completely a few month ago (letting Fluid out) and now I'm only 25 lbs from my original weight in 2009. I am currently70 lbs overweight and its obvious that I'm just going to keep gaining weight.
