Just took pre-op photos

Recommended Posts

This is something that I will do as well but so that I can see my own progress. Unlike past times when I would berate myself for being obese to begin with, it's just to get my mind out of the "fat guy" mentality.

I did this recently too. Actually had my 5 year old take them so I look a little taller than usual, but he got a lovely angle of my quadruple chin.

My son took mine recently. That's the good part of it, the bad part, I was slumped in the recliner, sound asleep and didn't have,my dentures in. So,although I could pass for 45-50, in this one I look every one of my years and more.

I had my mom take mine today. Will take more tuesday as she is a bit under the weather.

It's a bit daunting to think about the changes coming but I am soooo ready!

The only thing I regret is not taking more pre-op photos! I used to avoid the camera like the plague! It made me sad. Now, I have very few photos to compare to

Love it :)

I’m sending mine off to be processed and returned by mail!

Funny - the bathing suit photo looked as I expected the photo I took in this dress I love but was always too small shocked me. It was not cute!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
