logicwand 269 Posted March 9, 2018 My energy was way down on Tuesday. I walked markedly slower. Later on that night I felt faint. The next day I was bursting with energy. Today I feel sluggish again. No change in my protein/vitamin intake. So weird. I'm one week post op and just wanted to share my experience so far.

I have no answer. However this is one of my major concerns after surgery 3/27. Part of my problem with food is my fear of lack of energy (I have very physical demanding job) so I tend to over eat thinking I am compensating and filling my energy banks. If you are feeling a lack of energy after the surgery ...which can be expected as you recover, but what about long term? I look forward also to any answers. 1 logicwand reacted to this
frust8 963 Posted March 9, 2018 I believe your surgery, was a good thing, both for you and your health. Your body has received a shock, all major surgery is a true shock to the system. Your physical body is trying to come to terms with what has happened. It seems to be like- smooth day- hey what happened to me? I must realign!-smooth day- I must realign!. As time goes by the realigements will become fewer until they are non-existent. This is my belief in your recovery. In the meantime get your fluids in ,eat slowly your foods & follow your surgeon's rules and it will all smooth out!Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
