I'm exactly where you are, itching and all. I can't wait to get the staples out because after that I'll almost be able to forget I'm recovering from surgery!

You girls have staples? I didn't at all. Maybe it was because I went to Mexico and couldn't really follow up in a couple of weeks. Sometimes my scars still itch, so don't think it will go away too soon!! scratch, scratch

The use of staples, stitches, or steri-strips seems to be surgeon's preference. I must say, the staples don't look anywhere near as awful as I'd imagined them; they're really tiny.

How do you suppose they take them out? With an itty-bitty staple-remover? Ouch!

I'm surprised they use staples sometimes. The incisions are so tiny that staples seem like overkill. I got steri-strips, and I gotta admit I pulled them off before I was technically supposed to because they were itchy.

They use a special tool; It is pretty neat. The tool bends the staple in the middle and the "legs" just come right out!! My biggest incision is about 3 inches long
