Tell your 'friend' that you just don't want to hear about her episodes anymore. I think she is triggering you on purpose. And don't share with her either, she sounds like she has a variety of issues and could derail you.

Ask your anesthesiologist for a scopolamine patch for nausea before you go down to surgery - the patch lasts three days, and it was great - no nausea at all in the recovery stage.

I have the sleeve, and I have had one too many bites, and had to spit up, had slimes/foamies from eating too fast or two large of a bite, but no actual vomiting.
