atphiladephia 67 Posted March 8, 2018 Just moving on to the “all textures” phase post surgery. I have done well with weight loss so far but I’ve hit a stall and I want to be sure I get started with the right diet...Can everyone who has been successful losing weight give me a sample of your diet for a day?Breakfast-Lunch-snack -dinner? ?How many calories approximately??Thanks for your help!!! I need some ideas!!Ashley
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted March 8, 2018 (edited) I do 1000-1200 calories per day. I get at least 60g of Protein. I eat a lot of veggies and fruit. I don't eat any refined high glycemic index carbs. (or a very tiny amount...never more than 75 calories in a day) I do eat low glycemic carbs like whole grains, Beans, oatmeal, etc. And lots of very lean protein. Yogurt is another favorite. Stalls are just gonna happen. Your body has years of evolutionary defense mechanisms in place to help keep you from starving to death during famines and challenging years. It will do all sorts of nasty tricks to try to get you to return to your bad eating habits, and it will grind weight loss to a stop. Eventually, though....something has to give. You will lose weight. Be patient. Be consistent. Edited March 8, 2018 by Creekimp13 1 atphiladephia reacted to this
