fat to fit 23 Posted March 7, 2018 I had gastric sleeve on February 23rd. I have to do full liquids for for a month post-op. I am so sick of artificial sweeteners. It seems like everything has them, the sugar-free Jell-O, the sugar free pudding, the Protein Shakes and any kind of low calorie drink. Can someone tell me if they're nutritionist wanted of them to continue to use them once you're out of the liquid phase. I would much rather just eat clean. 1 logicwand reacted to this
Pepsipants 6 Posted March 9, 2018 I totally agree! I refused to drink the recommended Premier Protein drinks. I am alternating Primal Protein mix and Jay Robb grass fed mixes. They have stevia but I feel that is the least of the enemies. Glad to see someone else shares my concerns! Adams2dc 8 Posted March 13, 2018 I hate that the nuts recommend so many artificial sweeteners. I am in a recovery program for compulsive overeating and as part of my plan, I do not eat any artificial sweeteners. Well - when Protein Jello was the only thing I could have for two days after surgery I did - and hated it. For liquids I used unsweetened vanilla coconut milk and plain Isopure Protein Powder. It was like drinking a slightly sweet glass of creamy milk. (But way better than. Cow’s milk which I cannot stand.) there are a ton of options to avoid sweeteners in the post-liquid phase! Let me know if you want suggestions!
