lauren0728 0 Posted October 28, 2007 I started mushys on thursday... since then i threw up twice. At first i thought it was how fast i was eating... so i slowed down. At first that seemed to work. Then i threw up again, i figured it was the food... i wasnt ready for it. But today i threw up off of cottage cheese(which i have had b4 w/o problems). Now im just confused. I AM hungry, but at this point im afraid to eat because things that work sometimes dont others... long story short- i dont want to have my band slip. I am beyond confused because i dont even KNOW what to eat.... what the heck am i doing wrong???
Dave01 0 Posted October 28, 2007 Lauren, wish I could help but I havent had to experience this. Maybe try liquids a few more days and call your dr to tell him/her. My fav mushie was pureed clam chowder (healthy request). Good luck and keep us posted....Dave
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted October 28, 2007 Yes, you are supposed to go on liquids for 24 hours if you throw up. When you throw up, things get swollen and aggravated inside and you need to give everything a rest.
losingjusme 12 Posted October 29, 2007 i agree. go on liquids (thin liquids, not 'shakey' type) for at least 12-24 hours after you PB. good luck

realmccoy 0 Posted October 29, 2007 Wondering........is this happening in the AM? Or after you have possibly been laying down. I find that I can only have liquids in the AM or after a nap. Even mushie foods cause a problem in the morning. Once I've been on my feet for a least a hour, then I can eat soft foods, and then regular foods after several hours! I most defiantly agree with the liquids after PB, stomach is irritated and swollen and needs to relax before trying more food. Cottage cheese still gives me problems unless I blend it in the food processor <o>:boink:> </o>:xena_banana:>
