nhanson 0 Posted October 30, 2007 In Hershey park last year I didn't even bother with some of the thrill rides because there were signs that said. People of extreme hight or weight may not fit in the seats, they suggested I try the seat. I was to embarassed to even try the seat. I didn't want the walk of shame. Going to Dorney parkin June and Disney in July - I may even look at the pictures that they take on the rides!! Weight Loss Tickers

ARMKAM 0 Posted November 2, 2007 I RODE ROLLER COASTERS AT SIX FLAGS IN AUGUST AND SINCE THEN I'VE LOST RESTRICTION. I DID HAVE OVER 2.5 CC'C AND NOW MY DR. CAN'T DRAW OUT ANY OF IT. WHAT HE'S ADDED SINCE SEPTEMBER IS STILL THERE , BUT NOT THE ORIGINAL 2.5 CC'S. I GO BACK FOR ANOTHER FILL TUESDAY AND WE'RE CHECKING TO SEE IF I HAVE A LEAK , A KINK , OR IT'S JUST A FLUKE. DON'T KNOW IF IT WAS THE ROLLER COASTERS OR WHAT. ON THE POSITIVE SIDE ALTHOUGH I'VE ONLY LOST 1-2 LBS IN 3 MONTHS , I'VE NOT GAINED EITHER , SOOOO WHEN I FINALLY LOSE THE REST, IT SHOWS ME THAT I SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN ! WOOHOO !!! BOOBOOKITTY , YOU LOOK AWESOME !! WHAT AND INSPIRATION ! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !:clap2:

crystalcml 0 Posted December 21, 2007 How long should you usually wait till you get on one? Good question, I'm curious to know this also!
Lethy912 0 Posted December 21, 2007 Well I went to my Dr. yesterday and I asked about it and they said that you can get on one at any time just take it slow since you might be tender at your port sight but they said that it wouldnt hurt you in anyway! WHOOHOO rollercoasters here I come!
Candle 11 Posted December 21, 2007 How long should you usually wait till you get on one? Since I had a Disney trip planned at the time of my surgery, I asked this question. My doctor recommended 6-8 weeks to let the port site fully heal. If your port is still tender, I would avoid any ride that the bar is going to be in that area. Zannie 6 Posted June 21, 2008 Hey y'all! I know this is quite a bump, but has anyone been to Busch Gardens since being banded? I'll be heading to B.G. Europe in Williamsburg, VA soon & have not ridden a roller coaster in 7 years! My last ride was on Apollo’s Chariot...the part of the seat the buckles you in was quite a struggle to secure, but finally clicked -- once. (in contrast, it clicked several times in securing my husband.) I spent the ride in a panic that I wasn’t truly buckled in! And that was the end of my coaster enthusiast days... But (113 # lighter) it is time to venture back to the "BIG KID" rides again! Griffin & Apollo’s Chariot await & yet I can’t shake the notion that I’m not gonna fit!!!!:redface:
Mom2_4 0 Posted June 21, 2008 I was worried about this too but had no problems at WDW and Universal last month.
