Am i allowed to use a ventolin inhaler while recovering from surgery?

I am day 3 post op from gastric sleeve and i have developed a cold and very tight weezy chest as a result.

Can i use the inhaler to open my airways?

I suspect the answer is Yes, but check with your surgeon's office just to make sure.
