logicwand 269 Posted February 27, 2018 I'm having surgery Wednesday and I keep reading my dietitian's guide and others over and over again. I feel like this can become a hot mess, especially when you throw in Vitamins and supplements. My sheet says I can have full liquids day 2 onward and an example is light yogurt (without fruit) and sugar free pudding. Aren't these more of a pureed item? Not that I'm complaining! LOL But did anyone do this and have any trouble? 2 mylighthouse and FluffyChix reacted to this
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted February 27, 2018 My group did full liquid in two phases. Phase one was just Protein Drinks and Clear Liquids. We did this until we hit seven days. Then, at one week out, we added the yogurt, pudding and cream Soups. As far as I can tell....bariatric surgeons have very little consistency on this stuff. Lots of different ideas out there. My personal advice? Do what you feel up to that you have permission to do. Take it slow. If you have nausea, slow up, drink clear fluids and Protein Drink for a while longer and give it time. 3 FluffyChix, logicwand and mylighthouse reacted to this
logicwand 269 Posted February 27, 2018 Yes! It can get so confusing! That is great advice. I will get some and keep them in the fridge and see how I can handle them as I go along this week. And CONGRATS on the weight loss! Holy moly that is incredible!! 2 FluffyChix and Creekimp13 reacted to this
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted February 27, 2018 Some of my loss is pre-surg (I started my diet in June)...but thanks:) I'm pretty happy with it:) 2 logicwand and FluffyChix reacted to this
mylighthouse 782 Posted February 27, 2018 My plan was the same as Creekimp's. I did fine with "full liquids" including yogurt, cream Soup and sugar free pudding. Good advice. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery, wishing you the best. 2 logicwand and FluffyChix reacted to this
sillykitty 10,776 Posted February 27, 2018 My plan includes pudding and yogurt in the liquids stage (first 2 weeks). I tolerated them without any issue. 2 logicwand and FluffyChix reacted to this
FluffyChix 17,415 Posted February 27, 2018 Mine too. I just had cream of chicken Soup with Protein Powder mixed in for the first time last night. I have been having yogurt for the past couple of days. It sure helps with monotony. But I don't think I'm gonna have pudding because I don't need the extra cals/carbs that it represents. But boy howdie am I counting the days down to next Wednesday where I hope to graduate to purees!! 2 Dragon64 and logicwand reacted to this
Miss Topaz 300 Posted February 27, 2018 For me, pudding was a puree, but@fluffychix had a great idea to thin down regular yogurt with Protein drinkSent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app 2 FluffyChix and logicwand reacted to this

I am lovin' the Walden Farms pancake syrups in Blueberry and Strawberry!! No seeds to contend with and no sugars! 1 logicwand reacted to this
