ert08 18 Posted February 23, 2018 I was a low weight/BMI going in. I'm 5'5 I was 217, 36 BMI. I had a revion from a band to a sleeve in on surgery. I started my pre op process in October had Surgery on Jan.11. I currently weight 170 BMI 26. I eat right, exercise feel good. But when I go see the surgeon every two weeks, he keeps telling me how I should be faster more weight. Ugh. I'm trying to be positive in my process but that makes it hard. So my question where does you motivation come from?Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using BariatricPal mobile app 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
Lannie 135 Posted February 28, 2018 My doctor told me to expect an average loss of 10 pounds per month. He also was clear that was an average and that each person is different. You reference a 45 pound loss. How much of that is post op? Looks to me like you are above the “average”. 1 amend68 reacted to this

ert08 18 Posted February 28, 2018 I was happy with how things are going. I feel good, I fit in my old clothes. I only feel bad after I see him. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using BariatricPal mobile app 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
orionburn 1,024 Posted February 28, 2018 Some docs don't have good "bedside manners." I finally started to lie to my doc because he annoyed the crap out of me. I told him multiple times that I could not get meet my Protein goals with only 3 meals. I had to do 4-6 plus a Protein Shake. And every time he's just lecture me on eating more than 3 meals a day, don't snack, it's going to lead to old habits, etc. So one day I finally gave up and whenever he asked "Are you only eating 3 meals a day?" Yessir. "And no snacking?" Nope. Never. Otherwise he's been good, but yeah...he always made me feel like I was cheating even though I wasn't. We're all going to lose differently. Don't worry if he's happy. If you're happy with your progress then be happy. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this

Perhaps he'll see that you have so much confidence in how you are doing he'll leave you alone.

Steffi95 2 Posted February 28, 2018 Same with me! I just had my 3 month post op. The NP was like " you're on the low side for how much you workout" i got mad so i cut her off with "My blood pressure is better, I sleep better, my depression seems better" 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
