chershel 0 Posted February 23, 2018 I have an appointment on Wednesday, 02/28/2018, for my initial consult. My appointment is with Dr. Terry Simpson in Scottsdale, AZ. I am hoping for the sleeve surgery. Is your weight on that day what is sent to your insurance company with your approval request. This is a strange question but is your weight taken like any doctor's office in your regular clothes or do you put on a hospital gown to get a more accurate weight? I am right at the BMI where my insurance would pay.
Newme17 3,444 Posted February 23, 2018 The weight on the initial consult for MOST is what is used for the insurance. (Be sure to check with your insurance to make sure there’s no other requirements regarding your weight). The only thing I had to remove were my socks and shoes for the fancy scale they had. All clothes stay on.
