Chocolate Peanut Butter Cricket Powder

But... why? And is the Iron heme or non-heme?

I will seriously never understand the obsession our society has with bizarre supplements. Just... eat food. Mostly plants. No crickets required.

Crickets are an awesome source of Protein and they're a lot easier on the environment than cows and pigs.

Crickets are also a lot closer to what our guts are naturally designed to digest. The great apes eat a lot of insects.

Just sayin'

Legumes are an awesome source of Protein. Brown rice, peas, and soybeans (the 6% that aren't grown to feed cows & pigs, that is) are also easy on the environment. These are all normal, natural foods that aren't freakin' crickets, and you can find plenty of protein powders made from them. I mean, I'm not trying to be a vegan a*****e, but I just don't get it.

And gorillas, elephants, and rhinos eat exclusively plants, so what's your point?

I'll do that, but I still don't see the relevance. Enjoy your crickets? :P

They're honestly pretty damned good. They're kinda nutty and make a great replacement for almond flavor in my favorite smoothies:) They're growing on me.

When I was at the bulk food store this weekend, I noticed some cricket Protein Bars. I'm going to give them a shot sometime soon. :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
