Raw veggies / smoothies

Recommended Posts

So I was in whole foods and got a sweet and mellow smoothie which has raw spinach, I totally forgot I can't have raw veggies yet. Anyone know if it's a big deal since its pulverized so finely?

Your profile shows your surgery was in November. I was sleeved in December and have absolutely no food restrictions per my doc and nutrtionist. I've been eating raw veggies for weeks. I think you'll be fine:)

I'm weirdly curious about this...does anyone else have veggie restrictions 3-4 months out?

It's bizarre how different the different programs are.

Salads are 3 months for me. I always throw spinach in my morning smoothie pre-surgery, and I didnt think to ask my nutritionist if I could continue after surgery. Hmmm....

Mine, too. I've been munching on all my favorite veggies, seed, nuts, the works. So far no issues....long may that last:)

If they are pureed there is pretty much no problem except for the amount of carbs in veggies and fruits. My nut doesn't want me doing smoothies because I could end up putting in a TON of sugar into my diet and that's a killer for me. So no smoothies due to calorie and sugar restrictions, not digestive restrictions.
