violgarodriguez 3 Posted February 22, 2018 Im one day post op (2/20/2018) And I noticed my largest incision where my stomach was pulled out of was very painful. After i took a look at it, I noticed it was dented in, is this normal!? And how long were your incisions no longer painful? 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

Probably as much that the area around it is swollen as it is a “dent.” Everyone is different. Mine hurt maybe a couple of days and then were tender for most of a week then fine. 2 unoarellano and Frustr8 reacted to this

He said it’ll eventually go away. Maybe check with your surgeon. 1 1 Frustr8 and CynthiaNicolle reacted to this
abefroman329 704 Posted February 22, 2018 I had a dent, yes. I kinda still do. The incisions didn't hurt at all after a couple of weeks. The longest incision will hurt the longest. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
suzysunshine123 11 Posted February 22, 2018 I’m one month post op and I still have the dent in the same spot... The largest incision where the stomach was pulled out. I wondered if that was normal too. That was the one that was painful too and the pain went away but the dent is still there. All the other scars are flat and look great. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
chinadoll707 4 Posted February 26, 2018 I had the dent as well it went away a few weeks after surgery. I also had a sharp pain there that lasted over a month 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
walleyecrazy 120 Posted February 27, 2018 I had the same thing. Mine was so bad that I was actually calling it my second belly button. I am about 4.5 months post surgery now and mine has returned to normal with no more indent. 1 1 Frustr8 and CaroleS reacted to this
Stacy160 201 Posted February 27, 2018 8 years out, I still have my dent. The scar tissue that forms from the tunnel the surgical instruments to through causes that...gravity makes it more obvious when it pulls the tissue around it downward. If you end up with skin removal afterwards, that adhesion will be removed and you'll be smooth as glass. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
Gagsy 62 Posted February 27, 2018 I can't tell you how much my wounds worried me. One of them looked like a bit of skin was made as a flap to cover up the hole. It was gross the first few days in the hospital, then thankfully it got better but it took ages. Didn't help that it got infected slightly as well. There wasn't pain, it was more just annoying. I'm 2 months out of surgery and only now am I happy with the healing. I will scar but so what? The fact that the lumpy wound is gone and the one between my boobs which was open for ages because of its position and how I move a lot in my sleep. It really did feel like I would always have a gaping hole between my boobs and a dent on my stomach wound. They will heal! Please be assured. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

kakatlady612 1,053 Posted February 28, 2018 Think of it as a dimple, just in a strange location. Maybe you could put a small, precious, jewel there later? Krista27 341 Posted March 1, 2018 I had surgery on 2/9 and I had a dent. It worried me when I first saw it. But it has gone away already. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
2nd_chance 6 Posted March 1, 2018 I asked the surgeon at the 1 week post op and he said it is stitched to something with a dissolvable stitch and will eventually go away. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
