justagirl77 38 Posted February 21, 2018 I’m feeling quite hungry, especially when I smell food! But then I eat about 2-3 tablespoons and it goes down ok but about a half hour later I feel it coming back up again and sometimes I have to kind of swallow it back down...I haven’t thrown up but it sure feels like I will sometimes has anyone else experienced this? alexmcintyre 3 Posted February 21, 2018 throwing some Protein in everything has really helped me maintain my hunger for a while. I mean you should be eating every 3 hours ish! I eat at 8:15, snack at 10:30, lunch at 12:45, snack at 3, and dinner at 6. So far I’ve been doing pretty well on that schedule!HW 240SW 232CW 2036 Weeks Post Op! 1 mylighthouse reacted to this

mylighthouse 782 Posted February 22, 2018 I agree with @alexmcintyre. Eating small, frequent, protein-packed meals is excellent. Protein helps fill you. Also, limit your carbs throughout the day. Some carbs tend to not satisfy your hunger and some carbs can also lead to wanting more carbs. If you have break-through hunger in-between your meals, then it is good to keep healthy Snacks on hand: Proteins such as cheese, some yogurts, etc... or even might want to keep some fresh cut veggies on hand, such as red peppers, cucumbers, carrots, snap peas. Yum! As for the eating, and then the food coming back up, that could be acid reflux. I am dealing with it right now at 15 months out. If it continues to bother you, do mention it to your doctor.
