justagirl77 38 Posted February 20, 2018 I’m a week and a day out so far I haven’t been very tired, but today I was exhausted to the point I could barely keep my eyes open....is this normal? I did do more yesterday than I’ve done in a while?
blizair09 3,250 Posted February 20, 2018 I was on medical leave for work for six weeks post-op. I took a "get under the covers" nap every single afternoon of those six weeks. And when I did return to work, I still fought fatigue for another 2-3 weeks. It just takes time... 2 justagirl77 and Acts238girl reacted to this

Msoptimistic2118 7 Posted February 21, 2018 I'm so glad it's not just me. I was dead tired when I returned to work last week. I fell asleep at my desk and slept during lunch. My surgery was on Feb 1st and the doctor finally let me have coffee this week. I also started taking Vitamin B12. This week has been better. I think it just takes time. 2 Acts238girl and logicwand reacted to this

Stacy160 201 Posted February 21, 2018 Totally normal! Your body's putting a LOT of energy into healing right now, getting used to a huge drop in calories, and trying to figure out why it's losing so much weight so quickly (which will cause the stall that's coming, so don't freak out about that when it happens!). 1 justagirl77 reacted to this
karamarie381 1 Posted February 21, 2018 I am one week out today and I’m feeling the same way. Extremely tired. Yesterday I felt like I had so much more energy. Today, not at all. Reading everyone’s comments helps out a lot. I also have been taking naps daily. 1 Acts238girl reacted to this

lala_is_fabulous 4 Posted February 21, 2018 I just had RnY on February 14th, and I was told it's normal to feel tired because our bodies are adjusting to a major surgery, calorie intake is low etc. The closer you get to meeting a 80 gram Protein goal and 64 oz fluids you will feel better. Every few days I make a broth with ramen noodles packets and that kind of picks me up!Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 logicwand reacted to this
Acts238girl 73 Posted February 21, 2018 Yes!! I had surgery on the 12th and take a hard core nap daily. I really hate this more than the discomfort after surgery! I did 2 loads if dishes-wiped. Get the kids out the door for school-exhausted. Took a walk with my son today, and my back aches!! Ugh! Ready for this to be over!Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app
