I am cold all the time as well, I live in near San Francisco and it will get down into the 50's and when visiting people will open the window to let the cool air in and I have to go into another room.

In the office I always wear a sweater.

I have to wear socks to bed or I will freeze along with long sleve pagama and full length bottoms.

I am cold ALL the time. It's just the opposite of last winter when I would go into a building with heat and just start sweating. It would be nice to just be comfortable once in awhile =)).

Since I was banded a 1 week and 2 days ago I have been FREEZING!!! I do think it is because of the reduced calories. It is certainly something.

I'm freezing because I live in Wyoming and I never feel like turning on the pellet stove....and it's snowing! Seriously- I do feel a little colder since surgery.:rain:

Ok - any of you that have reached goal ...

Does it go away? Will we eventually get warm again?

I have an icycle for a nose!!! My hands are cold WITH gloves on in the car and the heater going. And, I'm in TX - it's just not that cold here!

I love all you "oldies" (and I mean that term in the most endearing way!). You truly give us so much guidance and thank you for sharing your experiences!!!!!!!!!

wombat :)

For me, it hasn't gone away. But I am used to it now. It's not a big deal any more. I just put a jumper on, and get on with it (it's the middle of the Australian summer, and yesterday I wore a cardi, granted, it was overcast, but no one else was wearing a jumper!)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
