Wait until a few weeks before you go?

They will still be selling swimsuits then! And think how much fun the shopping will be!

My surgery is March 20th and I am going to South Carolina in June. How has everyone known what size to buy for the future? I will need a new swimsuit and I don't have a clue what to do.

There is now way to predict how your weight loss is going to go. I would wait until June. Sizes are weird. It depends on the designers. Try things on. You are going to go through many different sizes in the future! lol Enjoy

I would totally plan to go on a swimsuit shopping trip once you get there- work it into your trip, then you have a hot new suit that you can say you bought on vacay! It'll be a nice memento and probably be the only practical souvenir you get anyways!

10 weeks post surgery you’ll be down for sure but... we’ll, it might be your bust, it might be your bum, or half and half! I dropped a pants size in 4 weeks, but have only just this week seen shrinkage in my matron-tits down a bra size!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
