Does anyone know when the final weight check is in relation to the surgery?

The day of Surgery. Depending on the program also they might weigh you 2 weeks before your surgery when you start your liquid diet. They normally weigh you every time you go in for any appointment with them. In regards to before insurance approval they weigh you after everything is done and they review their information with you and then submit it to insurance where it can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to hear back. I heard back from my insurance within 3-5 days.

What are you guys looking forward to most after surgery? Let's keep the inspiration up. For instance...

Crossing my legs again.

Painting toes without any hassle.

food not being on my mind constantly.

My contour on my makeup being emphasized more.

Snapchat filter not slimming my face but instead it's done naturally.

Wearing shorts again.

Not being looked at weird because I'm a chubby girl wanting a salad.

Not hiding my body under layers of clothing.

Not having only my face complimented.

Not being embarrassed to run on the treadmill because my weight makes me feel like I'll break it.

Not being looked at weird in the gym.

Saving money on groceries.

Bending over to tie my shoes without being breathless.

Not having my heart pound out of my chest when I am walking fast.

How about you guys? Anything you're looking forward to? No matter how silly!

Plastic chairs that don't make sucky noises when I get up. People saying "oh at least her face is pretty". People letting me on the furniture instead of bringing a bashed up wooden kitchen one. Shopping in the regular ladies or juniors department. Finding a nice coat instead of resorting to a mans jacket. Having people know I'm a female instead of a misshapen blob. Dressing in something bright instead of the mustard, black,or puky greens I found last week at Wally World. People not recognizing me.An occasional wolf whistle instead wondering if the guy has developed a wheeze. Painting my toenails, seeing my intimate areas without a mirror. Scratching,my own middle back.Looking in a single mirror instead of a triple. Taking a selfie without looking like a group, focusing a wide angle and having some scenery show on either side. Being tall instead of merely big. Having someone like me for myself not the amount of shadow I provide. Not being in the back row of every picture or having to be the photographer instead.

Also,i answer somebody,else I'm in Central Ohio.

I'm on a trajectory for a mid-May sleeve (could be June as well) if all goes according to plan. Minnesota here. Doing lots of research (reading books, forums, etc.) as I want this to be a lasting lifestyle change for health.

Remember that you are amazing no matter what. This surgery will help us become healthier but you will remain an awesome person either way. We are harder on ourselves than anyone else!

Omg yes anything that requires bending comfortably (shoe tying and toe polishing), leg crossing and I would love to play outside with my kids without tapping out so soon.

OMG yes I can't wait to polish my toes without the awkward positions,to walk up stairs without gasping for air,to walk in a room and people see me and not some big woman hidden under clothes,or to start shopping for smaller sizes that will look amazing on my new body but most of all keeping up with my little one. Our time is coming so let's take this journey together and accomplish our goals one step at a time!!!

I have always been a fashionista. I have so many adorable clothes from over the years that I cannot fit anymore. So those are two more things to look forward to.

Wearing cute outfits again.

Being able to wear high heels again.

Oh wow Sweden that’s exciting!! Congrats on your date!! I can’t wait to know my exact date!!

Yes! (I'm Swedish [emoji6] ) I think the procedure is a bit different here, since we have very high taxes it's possible to get gastric surgeries payed for by the county. But I believe it takes a longer time to get a surgery date. I started with this journey last February, and I'm so happy to finally have a date [emoji1]

Getting sleeved on April 3rd
Height: 170cm
SW: 116 kg
CW: 111 kg
GW: 75 kg

First person I've heard of going to Sweden. Belgium, Switzerland, the Middle East, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, we truly are World-wide. Oh I almost forgot Bariatric Pal MX and the other Mexico locations, Canada and my friend LillyBilly who lives on one of the ABC Islands in the Caribbean,( Aruba-Bonaire-Curacao), who's going to Columbia for her surgery. And each of them are precious and have a story to tell on Bariatric Pal.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
