Two weeks will fly right by. When you start to get too nervous, try and distract yourself with other things. You could check out Youtube videos and see how well others have done. BrandiLynn 45 Posted March 8, 2018 I am appreciative of everyone sharing their recent post surgery experiences. I feel more prepared for tomorrow. Thanks for the candid details. I am suffering from allergies right now due to the 9.9 pollen levels here in Florida and feel pretty crappy. With the wild temperature swings I am scared I will end up sick and they will make me delay. And yes, I feel like I am having a pity party 1 Light&Fluffy reacted to this

NelliSleeve 32 Posted March 8, 2018 (edited) Was sleeved on March 5th and this is the 1st time I've felt well enough to speak on the experience. I was in so much pain the first few days, drinking felt wierd (it still does) but I think things are manageable now that I'm home. Really starting to think I can do this, a long cry from the regret i was feeling in the hospital. I hope it gets better from here Edited March 8, 2018 by NelliSleeve Error 1 Apple203 reacted to this

frust8 963 Posted March 8, 2018 BrandiLynn I'm in Ohio but I too suffer from allergies. In a few months I'll join you in miserable-land, right now I have been battling sinusitis so i definitely sympathize. Go blow your nose, try to put on a pretty smile and know we love you here on Bariatric Pal. And for gosh sakes get some Zyrtec or Clairitin.Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
Apple203 1,314 Posted March 8, 2018 (edited) Post surgery Constipation. Has this been a problem for you guys? At my pre-anesthesia appt, nurse suggested I start taking Senokot now, a week before surgery. I also know of one local bariatric practice that does the same thing. Anyone doing something similar? I'm day 7 of no caffeine and I still have headaches! Any tips? my surgery is schedule for March 28th and I stopped coffee like a month ago, the first week was horrible with the headache, no matter what i drank to replace the coffee, but after that first week, chamomile tea with lemon and honey did the work, first thing in the morning, now I'm so used to it, that I don't feel like going back to coffee after surgery. frust8 963 Posted March 8, 2018 A lot of peop k scare using Miramax. I've used it myself, I got horrid Constipation from narcotic pain pills after my last knee replacement. Tasteless, I put mine in a bottle of Water and shook the snarf out of it to mix well. Drink it down as quickly as you can. I've known people who,put it in juice or coffee, okay I confess not many of my friends are weight loss patients but you perhaps could stir it into shake or clear Protein water? Anyhoo it works smooth and easy, and never griped me.Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

But I'm barely drinking 30ml of Water or broth every 15 minutes or so. The biggest thing I want to do is pass gas!!!!! Eventer826 35 Posted March 8, 2018 Glad you are starting to feel to better. Brandi, I have been feeling the same way. Lots of pain here in hospital. I was sleeved on the 6th. It's getting easier each day, but I have some regrets. It sounds strange, but I didn't really comprehend that this is permanent. Not like the many diets we've all tried and could just go back to eating normal. This is forver. That's hard for me to swallow.HW 303SW 278 (goal)CW 277GW 150Sleeve 3/6/
