There are some on this site, plenty on Pinterest, and you can google and find sites such as this: https://www.bariatriccookery.com/

I just came across a recipe for egg-drop Soup that sounds easy. Can't wait to try it--well, after the cauliflower-garlic soup I bought ingredients for today . . . I like making soup.

This is one of my staple diet foods now. It's chicken salad so not exactly anything new, but adding in things like almonds (or walnuts) and dried cranberries give it a nice twist. I used to do a half & half mix of Greek Yogurt and light mayo (1 cup of each) but now go with the yogurt alone. Yields about six 1-cup servings. Truth be told most days I can only manage about 3/4 of a cup on it's own, or I do 1/2 a cup and mix in with my small salad.

If you want a lower carb version just drop the cranberries and that takes out around 11g of carbs per serving.

Edit: Just to clarify I cut the almonds, cranberries, and celery up into really small pieces and mix in with everything else.

Sounds great,
Do you eat it alone or with lettuce or something else?

All sorts of ways. Typically with a little bit of lettuce. Sometimes with a couple of saltines if I need a "crunchy" fix. If I need a quick meal to go I'll put it in a small wheat tortilla, but if I do that I can only manage 1/2 cup of chicken salad and usually end up tossing part of the leftover tortilla. I don't make it a habit of using the tortillas but if I'm caught off guard and need to leave and am due to eat it serves it's purpose.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
