The Guys Room -vs- The Powder Room Ladies Gone Wild

Recommended Posts

If we have "The guys' room" can we please just have "The gals' room"

Having one named something generic and factual.....and the other named a reference to the 1950's and soft porn ....is extremely offputting.

I'm sure it was meant to be cutesy, but in business, this would be seen as a microaggression, or sexual harassment.

I suppose you could equalize in the other direction, and rename "the guys's room" something equally ridiculous and condescending like "The Humidor: Gentlemen Wanking"

Ha! The forum name was created by a group of ladies many years ago. I agree with you, we should change the name.

It's been updated.

Oh hell yes, I would totally post in The Humidor. Make it happen.

As for the powder room nom de guerre, it's only sexist if a man named it. And as Alex said, it was created by the women. Why does everything have to come down to offense? Can't we just say it would be nice to update the name and leave it at that?

Sent from my phone. Please forgive brevity and spelling.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
