CalgaryWoman 24 Posted February 9, 2018 Should I be concerned? It’s about 6-7 months out and I’m only down about 60lbs?
NegreteLove 52 Posted February 9, 2018 I have been in a panic no weight loss in 28 days and I am only 50ish days out.My NUT and surgeon say as long as I am losing inches and have energy it is ok.I think we are just programmed to focus on the scale and that is a very small piece of the process.Best of luckSent from my SM-J327T1 using BariatricPal mobile app
Sleeve1stFitNext 924 Posted February 9, 2018 Once I started weightlifting, my weight has stayed in the 190's. However, my body has changed a lot. My surgeon and NUT tells me not to stress it. Inches matter more than the scale because that is unhealthy fat that you are burning off. Muscle also weighs more than fat and when you lift or workout. Do not lose faith and just keep going. You will break your stall soon. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
XYZXYZXYZ1955 675 Posted February 9, 2018 If you look at charts people more organized than I am post, you'll see that the loss almost always goes to single digits per month after the first month. I look at it this way: if I "only" lose ten pounds a month, that's still 120 a year. I know it won't be that predictable and the first year or so is the sort of "golden" phase, but still . . . I'm appreciating what I've lost and as long as I keep it off, I'm good. I'd like to get under 200 but don't know if I really will. Still, it's all progress in the right direction. And I sure never lost 74 pounds before in my life. 1 Toomanytacos reacted to this
BrandiceLeSha 101 Posted February 9, 2018 And the scale doesn't tell all... when I haven't lost pounds, I've lost inches surprisingly. And then without warning, I've had times where I just started losing weight. It's an emotional roller coaster if you focus on where you're at now and the pounds so harshly...as long as you're doing what you're supposed to and continuing in the right direction, you'll get there. And this may sound crazy... But after I stopped stressing so much, the weight loss actually got betterSent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Toomanytacos reacted to this
