Zanstt 3 Posted February 8, 2018 (edited) I’m so sick of all the sweet things. Protein Shakes, Jello, sf pudding...I still have my organic low sodium broths that I add MRS Dash to but I need more flavors, lol. I’ll be on this stage for 5 weeks. Which cream souos are are you drinking? I’m confused because all of the labels seem to be high in sugar and carbs and low in Protein. I do have protein packs I can add to them, however the carbs and some sugar content worries me Edited February 8, 2018 by Zanstt
Hintertux 2 Posted February 8, 2018 I made myself Soup Stock. Spoke to my dietitian and asked if I cooked everything in a soup then strained it out was that considered liquid and she said yes. I made several batches of different flavors including: Asian Ginger, Ginger, beef, old fashion chicken vegetable, etc... I used carrots, leeks, onions, bell peppers and other veggies; Bay leaves, and other fresh herbs... I then strained them off and drank the remaining stock. At first I tossed the veggies at great mental anguish then started to freeze them. I dropped 2 or more pounds a day... I hate sugar free Jello now... it is out. I am now on week 6 and got the flu... I pulled out some of the frozen veggies added broth chicken and noodles and had a great soup. So think ahead with what you strain out. 1 1 ethomaswh and FluffyChix reacted to this

XYZXYZXYZ1955 675 Posted February 8, 2018 I also got really sick of the sweet Protein Shakes and now can only tolerate Premier (and a few other brands) chocolate. I tried broth and hated it then. One thing that helped me was Protein water--still somewhat sweet but not cloying and the thin consistency was better. When I could do full liquids, I even pureed some beef vegetable Soup and loved that. Was thrilled to be able to eat yogurt and especially cottage cheese. Still have cottage cheese nearly every day.
