crocodoxie 223 Posted February 10, 2018 mayo makes me so uncomfortable, even in small amounts. I found I can easily substitute it with Tzaziki (sp?) sauce -- and happily don't miss mayo. I like a smidge of something on lunchmeat roll-ups or something for moisture. This has helped.
kakatlady612 1,053 Posted February 10, 2018 That is a yoghurt based sauce used in Greek cooking, especially on Gyro sandwiches. It does taste very good.Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
Biddy zz 🏳️🌈 1,004 Posted February 10, 2018 eggs are hit and miss. Muesli sits in me like a rock. bread swells and then I can’t eat anything, so I wasted a whole meal on a bread roll, but craved salad! I find Breakfast hard - I do so hate the flavour of pretty much every Protein Shake. Tomorrow I try sardines...
azuresky 7 Posted February 11, 2018 Six months out and still can't tolerate chicken or beef except in tiny amount, maybe mixed with sweet potato. I turned off many foods, especially sweets & breads. I was a carb addict. Now white rice, potato'S, bread, pasta&sweets are big no no's, disgusting really. 68 yo, lost 76 lbs. since surgery 8/18/17 1 Savagegirl reacted to this

Makes me sick. If it's savory I 'm all in. Eggs...at first, were good, now I just can't get it in. Think I'll try the egg drop Soup suggested at beginning of thread. 1 spealex reacted to this

Sardines were GREAT! 1/2 tin, with a lettuce leaf, three cherry tomatoes, some red bell pepper and a teaspoon of may - odd breakfast but tasted fab and I was ‘full’ for ages! AND I have just made a Protein Shake I love! 1 scoop of balance physique vanilla, handful of frozen edamame Beans, handful of mixed frozen berries, 25g plain Greek yoghurt and 1/4 cucumber - with Water and ice cubes, blitzed. Fantastic!! Edited February 11, 2018 by Biddynz
GotProlactinoma 458 Posted February 11, 2018 Sugar and bread. I’m sure every processed carb. I did try a sweet potato fry and it was ok. I am happy I can’t digest sweets and breads and pastries. Very happy. May it never change. 3 sunshinetinks, Savagegirl and NazX reacted to this
BuffaloBill 168 Posted February 11, 2018 Anything high sugar makes my stomach hurt and sometimes throw up. So now I limit my sugar intake to a quarter cup of granola once in awhile with some Greek yogurt. That's it for sweets and sugars Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
LaLaDee 519 Posted February 11, 2018 Yoghurt and I don't get along. Which is a pity because it's high in Protein and super easy.
Savagegirl 97 Posted February 17, 2018 I’m 9 months out and cannot eat chicken (unless ground, in soups), scrambled eggs, any bread/pasta/rice, etc. I can eat all soft foods. Protein Shakes and bars are needed but make me gag with the sweet tastes.
