colt45 8 Posted February 3, 2018 I’m 9 days post-op and I’ve already hit a stall. I’ve been the same weight for 3 days now. Is it normal to hit a stall only 9 days out? I’ve been walking for 20-30 min on a treadmill and that’s not helping. 2 sunshinetinks and 2feelinggreatagain reacted to this
sunshinetinks 258 Posted February 3, 2018 Yes it is. I am 3 months out and it's happened 3 times. Your body will lose weight. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app
Danny Paul 761 Posted February 3, 2018 I was in a stall after three weeks and I was in a one month stall right after Christmas. I was only three months post op then. Thank goodness for my monthly support group. Everyone there told me it was normal and they were right. You will lose the weight. 1 Cowgirl12 reacted to this

colt45 8 Posted February 4, 2018 It’s frustrating... I know it will pass but it’s a waste of time where I could be losing.

Think of it this way - you ARE losing weight. It's just not showing on the scale yet. There are so many factors at play - Water retention, bowel movements, etc. You're not not losing (lol). You just can't see it yet. Hang in there! 2 colt45 and kaydo reacted to this

nevermore71 63 Posted February 6, 2018 Me too. Surgery 4 weeks ago on Jan 8th. Have only lost 1 lb in last 2 weeks. I will be doing the walk of shame into the doctors office tomorrow. I've been sticking to the plan and weighing and logging everything. Caloric intake at approx. 700- 800 daily. It's hard not to stress about it even though I knew from the forums to expect it. MJai 2 Posted February 6, 2018 When I told my dr about my concerns with the scale not moving, he said to quit watching it. Even when it looks like you aren't losing, your body is shrinking as the cells try and catch up with the fat loss. I agree, it is true. My body is losing inches, even when the scale is stuck.
