BigVern619 12 Posted February 3, 2018 (edited) The first two weeks I was on liquids. I ate chicken broth, drunk tea, sugar free popsicles and Premier Protein shakes. Then the next two weeks, I ate ricotta bake and blended pretty much everything from meat to Beans. If you're sensitive to cheese, I wouldn't eat much ricotta bake. I ended up being constipated for a couple days. The next 2 weeks I've eaten chili from Wendy's. Made my own chili beans with very lean ground beef meat. Like 97% lean. I also started blending my own Protein Shakes. I ordered Unjury unflavored Protein Powder. Added spinach, Protein powder, strawberries, blueberries and my Multivitamins and flax seeds to a nutribullet and that's what I do everyday 2 times a day. Now at 7 weeks, I've started eaten chicken, very soft cooked meat. I've eaten steamed broccoli. Two nights ago, I grilled some Jamaican jerk chicken (spicy) and had no problems. The only problems I have is trying to get 64 oz of Water down. I still wake up with desert dry mouth because of that. Also, the eggs. I'm just gonna stay far far away. It's not meant for me. Monday is my birthday and I received some chocolate covered strawberries and I'm not sure if I should indulge 🤔 Edited February 3, 2018 by BigVern619 Misspelled words 2 Anthony Pamaran and ronda81 reacted to this

I haven't tried much veggies yet just steamed broccoli and spinach in my Protein Shake. I usually have a Protein shake and maybe two to three chicken wings. I did have cod last week and eating it kinda fast made me feel uneasy. I tried eggs for the first time today and wow..just wow..I'm pretty scared of eggs now lol. I'm 16 months post-op, and i can still only have 3 buffalo wings max...
Nhope 146 Posted February 4, 2018 My first bad pain reaction was from an omelet at about the same time. I kept texting a friend saying: what the F%$% did I do to myself? Six months out and I still can't eat an omelet or scrambled eggs, but I can eat a poached egg or egg salad. Some other things are still random, but I try to remember to do small bites, chew a lot, and take a break after the first bite or two to make sure everything is ok. I also have to remember to listen to my body--as soon as I'm a little uncomfortable, I stop.
