Macky. 12 Posted February 2, 2018 Hi everyone, my names Myckayla I’m 20 years old my height is 4’11 my highest weight was 220 and my surgery weight was 208.4. I spent a total of 2 nights and 3 days in the hospital due to not being able to drink enough fluids. And now that I’m home I don’t have the feeling of hunger or wanting to drink has anyone else dealt with this and if so how? Because I don’t want to go back for dehydration. I’m also in the full liquid stage.
MsTipps 314 Posted February 2, 2018 (edited) Yes, the physical urge isn't really there but you have to meet your goals for Protein and Water each day. Try the baritastic app - you can set reminders for drinking water and track protein intake on it. Drinking water is the most important part so if you can't do both, focus on it. If you're unsure what your goals are, give your doctor a call. Good luck xx Edited February 2, 2018 by MsTipps 2 Anthony Pamaran and Macky. reacted to this
Macky. 12 Posted February 2, 2018 I do use Baritastic app but I just can’t get all my fluids I’m not focused too much on Protein just because I’m more focused on being hydrated. Thanks so much (:
MsTipps 314 Posted February 2, 2018 Any fluids count towards your Water goals - water, decaff tea/coffee, juice, milk etc. Have you tried sugar free popsicles? Xx
Macky. 12 Posted February 2, 2018 Yes I have the only problem I’m running into is anytime I try something as soon as it touches my stomach I get nauseous. I don’t actually throw up I just have to walk back and forth til I feel better so idk I’ve been trying to incorporate different things I’m allowed to have day by day but it doesn’t help I go right back to the same thing which is ice chips :/ I want to have some good Soups

Macky. 12 Posted February 2, 2018 Thank you so much so far I am great! Only thing that’s gonna take some time is for the muscle tissue to heal. And this morning I’m having a better time with getting liquids in (: 1 Little Green reacted to this

Macky. 12 Posted February 2, 2018 I’m sure you’ll do even better (: I had just never had a surgery before and never had anesthesia so it was tough for me. But I plan on filming a video on my experience and what I took to the hospital today so maybe you can pull some info from that (: thanks so much for the kind and encouraging words

ronda81 20 Posted February 3, 2018 I also had my surgery on the 30th and my gas pains are finally going away... I take really small sips of Water threw the day but it feels like I’m taking into much air when I swallow... 1 Macky. reacted to this
Macky. 12 Posted February 3, 2018 Whoop whoop surgery sissstaa! I don’t have a problem with my fluids anymore and My gas pain was very minimal but I took gas x to hurry it along. For a few days I felt like that too with the Water so I bought the miracle 360 cup (for toddlers) and it’s so much easier and I don’t feel as much air. But that’s my suggestion another suggestion is to use a baby spoon to drink the water which is what I used the first 2 days I was in the hospital 2 ronda81 and momin2005 reacted to this
