DeLarla 22 Posted June 16, 2005 Everyone get out your tu-tus. This year we are having entertainment - US. Anyone that can sing, dance, perform, get your act together. Penni and I will be playing guitars for sing-alongs to Eagles tunes and You Are My Sunshine. Did I mention neither of us can play a guitar? Penni, can you carry a tune? I can't. Start practicing! I started lessons a few weeks ago.
Vera 7 Posted June 16, 2005 Lisa, Can you sing in French?
DeLarla 22 Posted June 16, 2005 Very, I CAN sing in French. Well, not yet, but along with my guitar lessons I purchased French lesson CDs and have been practicing for over a month. Any requests? Do I even know a French song? Something about a brother named Jake? I feel pretty: Je suis jolie?
princess_n_thep 2 Posted June 16, 2005 I can play old McDonald on my armpit. Does that count?
Zoe 6 Posted June 16, 2005 Je suis jolie = I am pretty. The translation's close enough for West Side Story! Boy, I would love to go to Vegas. Let me see if I can swing it. I love to sing and will take requests -- although after I receive them, I keep singing anyway.
DeLarla 22 Posted June 16, 2005 Jenna, not only does it count, but I already crown you Queen Too-Too for such talent. Zoe, you're scaring me... did I actually say something in French? I really am listening to tapes, but I didn't think I knew anything!
Road Queen 0 Posted June 17, 2005 DeLarla, Can I get your address? I have a cousin and aunt living in Vegas area and I wanted to ask them who was closer. If all goes well, I am still planning to ride motorcycle down there and thought it would be easier to cab to your house. (in case I have a drink!?!) DeLarla 22 Posted June 17, 2005 I'm in Vegas near Henderson. The Windmill west exit off the 215 Freeway, really close to the offramp. I'll PM you the address. My husband would get a kick out of someone riding their bike to the party!
Road Queen 0 Posted June 17, 2005 Great!! I just found out my aunt and cousin both live in Henderson!!

SanDiegoSue 14 Posted June 21, 2005 Vera, what nose/anti snore thing. I snore like a freight train and have to use the snoremate dental device? New thread anyone? Susie
SanDiegoSue 14 Posted June 21, 2005 I stayed at Stratosphere 2 years ago. It was nice, but at the far end of the strip.
Vera 7 Posted June 21, 2005 Susie, I believe they're called Breath-rite strips. My SO says they work on me. I do remember Carol giving me a nudge in the middle of the night, while in Vegas. I snore when I on my back, a nudge is my roll over push...Your device sounds better. My room-mates and I were a fine bunch, Michelle was freezing and a bit gassy. I kept grasping for air, opening the window, turning up the air-conditioner (caught a cold) and snoring. Carol's band was tight, she had some trouble keeping food down. But I would'nt trade them for anything, the first night we all talked for hours just lying in bed. I had a great time. Vegas was a blast.
SanDiegoSue 14 Posted June 22, 2005 Vera here is the website for the device. I gave an extra to a patient last we and she loves it. they are not for everyone, but not expensive either. My situation is beyond Breath Right Strips. DH was sleeping upside down in bed to get further away without leaving the room altogether. LOL! I would love to come to Vegas when a date i set.
