morning everyone, I’m feeling pretty low today.

I lost 12lbs on my pre op diet, 12lbs the two weeks post op, then 3 and now 2.

My surgeon said it would fall off me but two weeks with a 3 and 2 is hardly falling off!

I thought it would be quicker than this and it’s got me got me down.

I’m drinking well and focusing on eating Protein first so no sure what I’m doing wrong.

Has anyone else found the same?

((hugs)). Stay the course. Don't get discouraged! You know about the dreaded 3 week stall/slow down, right? Congrats on 17lbs in 1 month and a half (damn, new math). Remind me, do you normally lose 17lbs in a month? Hang in there sweetie. It's gonna go.

It's pretty normal. I am losing about half a pound a day sometimes it doesn't move. I have had 3 stalls that lasted 2 weeks, and one week. But saying all of that ,I have lost about 57 lbs, and my surgery was Nov. 1. 2017. I think that's not bad. I too thought I would lose weight at a faster pace. Take pictures of yourself, you will see huge differences. Best of luck on this journey.

Stalls are very common especially with sleeve surgery. That is why someone on this site a long time ago created the phrase "Embrace the stall". Many sleeve patients remain in the weight loss phase for up to 2 years, so you have many, many months to go. Just follow your program guidelines and shift your focus to NSV, non-scale victories, such as fitting into smaller clothes or the remission of serious medical conditions.

I understand fully. Lost 6.5 pounds my first week and have not moved an ounce for another two weeks. It's hard to not get caught up in the scale not moving but am doing my best to just focus on following doctors orders. I'm certainly not eating enough to not lose weight so it's clearly my body adjusting - doesn't make it any easier though. :( I keep telling myself that it will be a different story once I can eat a normal diet and for now I just need to focus on healing. But yeah, totally get it. lol

I had my surgery 11/28/17 and lost 24 pounds the first month then stayed the same for 3 weeks. It did start moving again but only a pound every couple days. don't get discouraged. my doctor said once I can eat raw fruits and vegetables the weight will come off quicker. I was really discouraged because I held at 203 for 3 weeks and I was so looking forward to being under 200 pounds. I'm now at 198 and looking forward to losing much more. best of luck to you. it will start coming off again just be patient.

Yes, this happened to me too. My surgery was 12/28/17. The week after surgery I lost 8 lbs. then 0, +1, then (shockingly but to my surprise) 9, and 1. So, 16 pounds for the month following surgery and I've been barely eating. My doctor has been happy with my numbers. She told me that 2 lbs/week is expected at this point. 2 lbs?! I had expected greater weight loss post-surgery too. Guess we need to trust that our bodies are figuring it all out. Wishing you continued success. :206_cat:

My surgery was 12 .26.17 I too have ran into a 3 week stall. Our body's are adjusting to our new tiny tummy. I found myself feeling down lately, but I think my hormone levels need to level out.

I am also at a three week stall. Very discouraging. I am definitely not eating enough to gain. Please keep me posted on your journey. I would love to hear about it.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
