( being a bit dramatic but honestly this is how I sound in my head) .

...omg....

I need some help motivation..

I know I can't eat them I can seriously hurt myself.. so I know that is what is holding me back and the main reason on why I needed to have this surgery cause I couldn't control myself.. but seriously this is all I'm thinking about.....

Ok, so here's some "pizza soup" on the fly for you. I think you'll get a couple of servings.

8oz chicken broth or Bone Broth

1oz pepperoni

dried italian seasoning

1/4-1/2c lowest cal/carb marinara sauce

2 tbsp parmesan, grated

dried italian seasoning

1 scoop unflavored Protein Powder

Simmer the pepperoni in the chicken broth and marinara for 10 minutes. While Soup simmers, mix Protein powder with a small amount of warm Water until it forms a paste. Set aside. Strain broth to remove all pepperoni. Add parmesan cheese and whisk hot liquid into the protein powder slurry.

And there you have it...pizza soup. :D Pour about 4oz of the soup into a cup. Use a spoon and eat slowly.

You can do this!

If you need food....and you're hell bent to cheat....pick something from the next stage of your approved diet,

Like...oatmeal, cream of wheat, strained canned cream Soup, or sugar free pudding.

I would shoot for bland at first.

And of course, the best thing to do is stick with your program as written.

Have been there, and felt your pain.

I'm already on that stage .. it's so funny to me how everyone has different foods that are allowed per each phase. Phase 2 for me is thicker Soup, but still runny cream of wheat, yogurt, Jello , pudding ,things like that.. I want like chewy mouth texture food.. ughh..

Day 8...you're gonna have to wait.

Really sorry. It goes fast, just have to grit your teeth and bear it.

When I got angsty....I'd walk...and walk...and walk. Wore myself out, and it was good for me to boot.

I remember celebrating soft foods. it's coming. Hang in there!

I know exactly how you feel, but you must follow your doctor’s orders or you can make yourself sick. Then you’ll know what motivation really is. It does get easier.

I am at the next stage now and I have more choice of food, I really hate my tastless protein... feel much better and easier now.

However when I walk thourhg I still think the second week is just the hardest time ! !

Keep going you'll find it much easier

Try very fluffy scrambled eggs (1 egg, 1 tbsp milk). Or tuna with mayo in a food processor. Those things gave me the "chew" fix I needed when I was in your shoes.

We have all been where you are. If it helps, you're not alone!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
