Savagegirl 97 Posted February 17, 2018 I had one large one about a week after bypass and was back in the hospital for 3 nights! This was last May. I just had two more about 4 weeks ago and was in one night. I’m now on Protonix twice a day for two months, then once a day indefinitely. Some of us may be prone to them. I didn’t feel them but had lots of blood loss. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this

frust8 963 Posted March 3, 2018 What% of bypass patients develop this kind of ulcer? Is there anything we can do to avoid it or is it just a bad spin on the roulette wheel of life? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
Beth Ann 5 Posted March 3, 2018 I know you need to stay away from NSAIDS- but I have not taken any and still developed an ulcer. Not sure if the reason why?
