Hair Dye

Recommended Posts

Okay so this is probably a dumb question but I don't care. My hair needs to be done. And by that I mean cut & foiled. I was wanting to wait and do it after surgery. But I worry about the Hair loss. Should quick get it done before my surgery or is it better to wait and do it after?

Doesnt' matter. Most Hair loss starts 2-3 months after surgery. (I'm told...mine hasn't been bad yet)

My hair has thinned quite a bit. I'm not crazy about it, but everything I read says it will come back, so I'm hanging tough. I did color it about a month ago, for whatever that's worth.

Hey girls!

I'm 10 years out, BUT....I dyed my hair the entire way through. I'm now a bottle blonde and it hasn't made much difference. My hair texture and fullness changed after surgery -- even when it did grow back. But I think whatever makes you feel great about you during this transtion is totally worth it!!

I made a YouTube video about it :) Check it out if you feel like it :) Otherwise, good luck!

I've gone through periods of thinning hair in the past (postpartum, different meds, etc) and while it always comes back, it is a frustration. I have found, given my skin and hair pigmentation, colouring my hair actually makes it look fuller/thicker and it makes me feel better about how I look. Just my two cents...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
