I have and I am going to have to learn some new things. I used to do Les Mils group fitness classes 5, sometimes 6 days a week. I did not try to go back to my regular routine. I tried the strength training class, with no weights or very light weights...got my butt kicked in a way a workout class never had in the past. I think it might have to do with the drastic change in calorie intake I am at now and probably because I am still working on in taking enough Water.

I walk 8 miles a day and I'm looking at a Water aerobics class in a heated therapy pool at the Y.

I'm waiting to get cleared to start jogging again, because walking on a treadmill is godawful. Plus I've been doing just fine re weight loss without getting more than 4-5K steps per day.

I started at the two week mark, just walking. I did the elliptical at a slow and easy pace when the treadmills were all taken at my most recent trip to the gym, and that was even better (less resistance). Can't wait to get into Zumba and kickboxing!!!! Waiting for the six week mark before I kick it into high gear.

Sleeved on 12/26 :) I started slowwwly walking about a mile on the treadmill after the two week mark. I was just cleared today to “kick it up a notch”. So I walked faster today. Still don’t have the energy to do much more. I’m struggling to take in more than 600-700 calories.

I’ve been walking a lot since surgery. Now that my lifting restriction is done I will start to do weights. I’m also planning on ramping up cardio, but hoping for slightly better weather...

I just did my 10k steps a day till I was walking and jogging 7 - 12 miles a day. That took about 7 months. Then I moved on to Yoga and walking each day. After 6 months of slowly increasing the difficulty I am now doing this crazy boot camp yoga. Just kept needing more intensity as my fitness improves. I didn’t intend it to go this way, it’s just how it played out.

I started back at the gym (weight training) after 4 months. Its scary the amount of strength you loose -- but it feels good in a strange my whole body hurts sort of way.

I did squats for the first time in forever today. It was a humbling experience -- 115 pounds on the bar kicked my butt.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
