Jday 17 Posted January 23, 2018 Help! So, my original date was 2/24. I received mail yesterday (pre-determination) stating denial due to insufficient documentation for co morbidity. Talked with my surgeons office this morning, it could be a coding issue combined with not sending in my BP treatment plan. The surgeon is interested in bumping up my surgery due to a cancellation to 2/5. I'm scheduled to go in for my Pre-Op class tomorrow now. Has anyone experienced denial and a fast turn around when supporting documentation is sent back in. The variables have me on a roller coaster ride of emotions! Losebig 508 Posted January 23, 2018 It varies by insurance company, but usually an appeal or additional documentation goes more quickly. There is nothing to lose by trying and you get started a month earlier if it works, which is great!
