shsa_rod 35 Posted January 23, 2018 I have the same date!! Ya us!!! I am doing two shakes and a healthy no carb dinner... I'm super excited an counting down the days... but have a tiny bit of nerves - which I know is normal. I started my journey last March so I totally understand about the patience you had to have over the last year. 1 nikkiw218 reacted to this

Today is my first day on the liquid diet and it’s not so bad I drink the Premier Protein drinks and they don’t have any bad after taste and are pretty good tasting. The only thing I’m struggling with is coffee I should’ve warned myself from it but all in all so far so good Good luck to you too ! 1 Boris reacted to this
nikkiw218 26 Posted January 23, 2018 I'm curious... is ALL you're eating Protein Shakes? no food? My pre-surgery diet is full liquid for 2 weeks. My food options are: Protein shakes, skim milk, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, Tomato or cream Soups, applesauce, sugar-free pudding, sugar-free Jello, and broth. And lots and lots of Water or zero-calorie/no-sugar beverages. No caffeine. Very low sugar. I need to do at least 60g of protein and 1000 calories or less.Last night I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries for dinner. I felt like a prisoner enjoying their last meal! Haha!! Dawn426 1 Posted January 24, 2018 Hi Ladies, I am scheduled for Feb 2nd! Today is day 5 of the pre-op diet. I am allowed to have 2 shakes, 1 meal of 4oz of lean Protein, 1/2 cup of unrefined carbs, and unlimited vegetables throughout the day. It's hard, especially without my tea, but I am taking it one day at a time. Good luck everyone!

nikkiw218 26 Posted January 25, 2018 Hey I started yesterday but weighed my self yesterday and today no change nothing, nada I’m scared I’m that one person I won’t lose weight when did you start noticing a change if any I am terrified that I’ll go through all of this and not be successful! Its a terrible feeling. I’m only on day 3 of the pre-op diet and haven’t stepped on a scale, but I feel less “puffy”, if that makes any sense? I won’t let myself step on a scale again until the day of surgery though. This diet is hard enough without adding on the stress I’d feel if the number didn’t go down on the scale immediately. A co-worker of mine got the sleeve last March. She only lost 3 pounds during her 2-week pre-op diet, but then lost over 100 in the first 7 months post-op.
