Wondering how difficult it will be to get this covered. I'm 35 BMI, 49, and have sleep apnea and elevated triglycerides. I'm just starting this process. Any thoughts?

Only your insurance and surgeon can make that decision for sure... but if you are self pay... That changes everything

If you have a two year history of having a BMI over 35, you'll likely be ok. If not, they'll probably make you wait until you do.

It really depends upon the insurance company. I had insurance that would only allow patients to go to a Bariatric Hospital of Excellence, while others don't have that requirement. When I started the WLS journey, I was around the same BMI with hypertension and sleep apnea.
