KDBaker 70 Posted January 17, 2018 Hello! Just a quick question. I've been on Xanax to control my panic attacks for about a year a d a half now. Pre-op, I could take a half mg and have no trouble staying awake. It just took the edge off enough that I could deal with what was happening. Now, 3 months post-op, I started needing to take it again and it puts me right to sleep! Anyone else experience a change like this?Sent from my SM-J327V using BariatricPal mobile app
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted January 17, 2018 Talk to your team or your primary about the possibility of adjusting your dose.
KDBaker 70 Posted January 17, 2018 Until I see my doctor next week, I'll just end up taking .25mg instead. That much is obvious really. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced their anti-anxiety med being more potent.Sent from my SM-J327V using BariatricPal mobile app
abefroman329 704 Posted January 17, 2018 Both the Strattera and the Ambien are working the same as they did pre-surgery. The Ambien may be slightly improved, I'm not really sure. All of the other prescription meds I take were either adjusted pre-surgery or prescribed post-surgery.
sunbunny83 21 Posted January 18, 2018 It's likely "more potent" bc of your weightloss.
