Does it balance out?

Recommended Posts

I am still pre surg at this point, it seems after my RnY I will save money by no fast foods, colas and sodas are large portions groceries and foods, will it be enough to offset the costs of Vitamins, fresher and healthier foods, Protein Drinks etc? What have you veterans found, doesn't matter in the long run, I'm still going forward with my surgery plans but maybe I'll need to,plant a garden this spring?

It will balance out especially because you will be cooking at home which almost always saves money. If you meal prepared, cook larger quantities and freeze for future meals you'll also avoid the temptation of going off plan.

I tend to buy my Vitamins in bulk and keep the cost low. I had several health conditions prior to surgery and all these went away after surgery. As a result the cost of the prescription medicines was several times larger than the cost of the vitamins I am currently taking. So I consider it a plus.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
