mitzie46 116 Posted January 17, 2018 Hello Everyone:I am 4 1/2 years out from gastric bypass and am experiencing weight gain. It didn’t just start and I know it’s because of how I am eating. I have gained about 25 pounds from my lowest weight since surgery and need to get back on track. Head hunger is the problem. I am back on this site for support and advice. Any words of wisdom to combat the head hunger? Fortunately I still dump if I eat too much sugar but unfortunately I have no problem eating carbs. 3 GreenTealael, stevecfo and mmrennau reacted to this
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted January 17, 2018 Here is what is working for me. Make a plan and follow it. So, more specifically, if I plan for (and have on hand ready to go) dense Protein and vegetables that I split over approx 4 meals it cuts the cravings and snackings way way back. I don't really have room for much else. Last night I came home from the gym STARVING and my son had a nice fresh out of the oven pizza - not on my plan. I almost attacked it, but remembered my premade meal - plop it in the microwave, add some lettuce and Tomato and voila - delish dinner on plan. If I don't do that sort of thing, I give in to food I don't really want, it's just easier... 3 stevecfo, ausmith and gigi2016 reacted to this

ausmith 374 Posted January 21, 2018 So after a great start at getting back on plan (almost 4.5yrsout from sleeve ) we had a huge family holiday followed by visitors that are here until Monday. During that time I have added to my regain so now I’m almost 15lb over where I usually am. So as of this afternoon I’m going to food prep for the week my plan is to be even more organised than ever. Every meal and snack proportioned out and ready for both myself and my Husband who was also sleeved at the same time.Meal planning and exercise worked in the past so I’m really hoping this will get me back on track after a few weeks. Also clearing out the fridge and pantry. There are so many things we normally wouldn’t even think of eating and drinking since the sleeve but there all here, so time to get rid of them again.Good Luck let us know how your going and what’s working and what’s not 1 stevecfo reacted to this
