Cholesterol changes after surgery

How long did it take after surgery to have a change in your cholesterol numbers? Did it make a big difference for you?

It didn't make a huge difference for me, a bit lower not not a lot. With the DS it can make a big difference due to some of its metabolic quirks (my wife's cholesterol is almost below scale, usually under 100 total after her DS.)

My 6 week blood work showed a drastic drop in total cholesterol. I have never ever in 26 years had an unmedicated normal cholesterol level. At 6 weeks It was 162, prior to surgery it was over 300 and on 20mg lipitor it was 199.
