Chris_NJ 9 Posted October 25, 2007 Darn good thing you end every post such as this with "Just my opinion" because if you had facts to defend your case you wouldn't need an opinion. You'd have a fact. An opinionated statement is just that. Take it for what it is. When something is a fact then it is a fact. I see this thread has ruffled a few feathers now have we? Fact is, he was disrespectful to a large sect of people in a nation he so badly wants to be president of. No one can dispute that.
Chris_NJ 9 Posted October 25, 2007 I just love how peoples hate for our president shines through to every facet of politics and base everything on that. Look outside the box please. These 2 things have nothing to do with each other.
Devana 0 Posted October 25, 2007 I hope that people look outside the box and consider for just a moment that the photo may not actually be what a media group is implying that it is. Question everything!

Joyouslyme 0 Posted October 25, 2007 A Jehovah's Witness wouldn't run for government. The only thing they should be doing as far as the government is pay taxes. Of course, NewsBusters is a conservative blog.

Joyouslyme 0 Posted October 25, 2007 I take info from both sides and meet in the middle. You know, the whole three sides to the truth thing. Everyone has an agenda.
babs0101 1 Posted October 25, 2007 As much as I try not to judge, I am no better than the next guy and I do judge. IF this picture is correct and the statement is correct that Obama did not place his hand on is heart during the National Anthem, then shame shame on him. The Flag and our National Anthem stands for America. The President also stands for America. If the President has no respect for America, then get the hell out of it. And that goes for anyone who does not respect the Flag and Country our forefathers have fault for with their lives. Stop and think! Freedom is NOT Free. "In my opinion, Love it or leave it!" Joyouslyme 0 Posted October 25, 2007 Yes I know. You've stated that before. I was responding to the comment about liberal news blogs. I read info from conservative and liberal blogs and then I try to glean the truth by going down the middle. I watch Fox and CNN. The truth is usually in between them. GenaO 0 Posted October 25, 2007 A minor flub on Obama's part but very insignificant considering how intellectually stimulating he is. After listening to absolute idiocy for the past 7 years and watching Bush make a mockery of being in the most powerful position in the world, Obama is a much needed and refreshing breeze of competency this country so desperately needs. wrk-n-prgrss 0 Posted October 25, 2007 :faint:I am a left leaning liberal, but he isn't my Presidential choice--I do know that this is America and there are a few religions that ask their followers not to salute the flag, or recite the Pledge. Maybe he is a Jehovah's Witness...I don't know...My candidates Patriotism isn't one of my top concerns. Wearing a flag, or properly holding ones hand over heart during the anthem does not necessarily make them a Patriotic person, maybe a grandstander or poser, like shrubby in his pick up truck and cowboy hat. If he was a Jehovah's Witness he wouldnt be in politics..as they are completely neutral on all political issues. Thats why they dont say the pledge. But when in a situation where the pledge is being said they stand and show respect.
