I'vebeensleeved 1 Posted January 15, 2018 Ever since my Sleeve in December I have been an emotional wreck. I at times even felt regret for doing this. I seem to be more down too. Anyone else ever go through this?
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted January 15, 2018 Lots and lots of people do. My doctor said in a seminar that almost once a week someone bursts into tears at the hospital saying they regret the surgery they just had. He says by six months almost no one has regrets. You've made a big change in your life. One of your coping mechanisms...food...isn't there for you in the same way. Takes a minute to figure out how to cope with that in a healthy way. Stay strong, it gets better.

ConnieSB 8 Posted January 15, 2018 Ever since my Sleeve in December I have been an emotional wreck. I at times even felt regret for doing this. I seem to be more down too. Anyone else ever go through this?My sleeve was in late October. I had a huge melt down a month after and think it was mostly dealing with all the changes. Give yourself time, it’s so much. The surgery was an act of self love, focus on that every day. Listen to your body, rest and heal. It definitely will get better! 1 MowryRocks reacted to this

I had to be admitted back to the hospital due to dehydration and I instantly regretted the surgery. They say rapid weight loss and changes in your diet also change your hormones as well. Just be strong, you'll get through it! 1 Jody7070 reacted to this

Similar anecdotes abound. I'm in post op Week # 14 and I'm so glad this is working so well.
LaLaDee 519 Posted January 15, 2018 I've definitely struggled. Changing your entire life and dealing with messed up hormones isn't easy. Just be kind to yourself and others.
MowryRocks 679 Posted January 15, 2018 While I have not gone through this, I empathize with those who do. I had major emotional breakdowns throughout my 6 months of pre-op, so maybe I just got them out of my system. I'm almost 15 months out and every change now is a breakthrough.
