Competitive Eating For Bandsters - An Idea Whose Time Has Come?

Recommended Posts

This seems like a good idea to me. We could do hot dogs, or chicken wings, or maybe blueberry pie? :hungry: One good thing is that even the winner would only be able to eat very small amounts, so the cost of putting on the contest would be minimal. The main drawback I see is that the competitors would need to take very small bites, chew a long time, and put the fork down between each bite, so the contest could be pretty time consuming and possibly boring to some. But I still think there would be a lot of excitement and tension for the spectators in light of the very substantial risk of a PB :rain:, which of course would immediately disqualify the contestant.

I don't know, it's just a thought, but I think it could work.

Actually OHjuli and I have already tried that one lol. A smore eating contest when a bunch of us met up to take a bike tour. I think we tied at about 3 marshmallows and 1/2 a Hershey bar each.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?
